Raise high the roof beam carpenters

Cut and fitted roof joists, notching them in at the back, allowing for a gentle pitch. It looked so lovely looking through the rafters at the blue sky, seemed a shame to put a lid on it but needs must, besides hardly a practical shed with no cover!

The day the walls went up

Friday 20th April, got Peter and George to help me lift the back and side wall, the rest went up sweet as you like. Very exciting, the culmination of lots of hard graft.

Had a little visitor

Found two frogs around the pond 15th April 07, very cute looking. One was a bit camera shy but this little fella stayed there for ages.

April jobs done

Amongst other things: Second earlies in; cabbages and leeks potted on; my neighbour gave me two currant bushes which I've planted out; and I've sown more parsnips and beetroot in situ.

Map of E7 & E8a

Here's the current map of plots E7(right) and E8a(left). The layout changes from season to season, even a few times a season, nothing is set in stone as they say, apart from the trees, of course, set in the earth not stone. I'm rambling.

Signs

I was very kindly given these signs to do with what I wished, so I went with a Victorian font, in green, set against a white background, well why not.
